Meghana Mitragotri Art Show in Pleasanton

My student Meg Mitragotri is having a solo art show at the Pleasanton Firehouse Art Center February 26 through March 31. I am very proud of her and all my students who had art shows this past year. She also released a book of her paintings too.Way to go Meg!

I love getting together with Great artists friends as we help one another with our paintings. My February master class was one of our best yet as Meghana Mitragotri, Jon Lee, Mark Rose and Margo Cook got together for two days of study in my studio classroom. Nice paintings from everyone.

March Master Class

The March Master class included three first-time attendees including Randy Peterson, Audrey Heaton and Mark Gamet. Veteran Jon Lee also attended. All are experienced watercolorists and did great working on their own projects.

February 2019 Master Class

My monthly master class included Karen Bettilyon, Mark Rose, Shari Cannon, and Connie Madsen. I've enjoyed teaching these artists for many years, and we've become good friends. The instruction portion of this class included the importance of identifying form and cast shadows, as well as a slide presentation on some of my favorite watercolor artists.

Wow! Another great Master Class with some special painters. Each worked on their own paintings while I coached them along. All the finished pieces are well-done and framable. I work with four or five experienced artists for two days each month in my studio and love it. Congratulations to all!

Great Master Class with Classy Artists

I was joined in my studio classroom for a "Master Class" with five outstanding artists yesterday and today. Such a thrill to work with such inspired artists. We truly learn a lot from each other.
