Desert Wildflowers in Bloom
Today the weather was so gorgeous I took a little walk in the desert at lunchtime and shot these photos of yellow wildflowers. The desert is full of them right now and all the red sand is covered in grass. Yesterday's rain should bring out lots more wildflowers in the coming weeks. I'm keeping my eye on the cactus blossoms as well. Pretty soon they'll give us a show too.
I am a fulltime artist living in southern Utah near Zion National Park. Each year my wife and I travel to various parts of the world where I sketch and paint on location. My watercolor paintings are in over 2200 permanent collections worldwide and my travel sketches were featured in "The Artist's Magazine." Many of my paintings are available as prints and can be viewed at www.rolandlee.com.
